Achievements
I made the website for my local club, and am proud to be one of the people who helped the club grow in size (from 1 table per week in 2024 to 4-5 tables now in 2025).

Background
As a kid, I played some classic chinese games with my family. As a teenager, I watched Akagi, but I quickly gave up on trying to understand the specifics. As an adult, I read a touhou mahjong manga that did a good job at portraying riichi as a fun and strategic sport-like competitive game.
My interest was piqued. I learned the rules. I learned that, even in Europe, there were people playing the game competitively online and in person.
So, I started looking for learning resources online. That's where I got a glimpse of the many layers of strategic depth and the joy of trying to learn it all. Since then, I've been continuously studying riichi theory with the aim of getting better at the game.
Here is a quick recap of my riichi journey:
Summer 2024 - Start playing online on Mahjong Soul
Sept 2024 - Join Sou-Long Mahjong (local riichi club in Toulouse) where I met friendly people and with competitive experience
Jan - Aug 2025 - Play several friendly tournaments in France.
March 2025 - MJS releases MAKA, and I start reviewing every game I play on MJS
Sept 2025 - EMA debut
Oct 2025 - Start playing Tenhou. Sign up for various online tourneys. Currently Master 2 on MJS.
Jan 2026 - WRL debut
