Background
In Hong Kong, I had experienced different types of mahjong before discovering Riichi mahjong. After watching the anime Saki, I became fascinated by Riichi mahjong and began playing it online. I had the opportunity to play Riichi mahjong in person for the first time during my exchange studies in Waterloo, Canada, and later in Nagoya, Japan. After returning to Hong Kong, I continued participating in Riichi mahjong tournaments both online and in person. I hope to keep improving my skills and help promote the game so that more people can enjoy it, and have therefore started actively participating in the Riichi mahjong community in Hong Kong.
