Background
According to my parents and grandparents, I was already able to grasp the basic rules of Nanjing Mahjong before the age of three, and could even identify most waiting patterns. In childhood, my interaction with Mahjong was limited to casually playing with the elders in my family during holidays. When I went to university, I was exposed to many different Mahjong rule sets, including Riichi Mahjong. In recent years, as online Riichi Mahjong has grown increasingly popular, I’ve returned to the game once again.
